Aidan Bishop

 

Aidan has spent a number of years in the Philippines as part of a group of consultants that developed and implemented business development strategies for new companies looking to expand into South East Asia.

He began his career in the non-profit sector where he worked for 10 years, travelling to over 50 countries conducting seminars and conferences on subjects relating to theology, social, personal and economic development.  He returned to London in 2003 where he entered the capital markets and has traded a variety of asset classes both for his own account and for clients.  In 2008, Aidan helped establish a currency trading fund based in South Korea. 

He brings a deep knowledge of Asian markets, in particular the Philippines where he has a well established and influential network of relationships at the most senior level in both the private and public sector.  Aidan is involved in a number of early stage opportunities in the Philippines.

 

Michael Spriggs

 

He has 47 years' experience of the mining sector. He graduated from Oxford University with a BA (Hons) in 1964 and went on to gain an MSc in Geology from the University of Leicester in 1969.  He has worked for a variety of major mining groups including Anglo American, Falconbridge and Rio Tinto.  He spent eleven years with the mining team at UK investment bank SG Warburg (now UBS) from 1986 to 1997 where he was appointed to the Head of South African Mining Equities Research Team and went on to become Director of Corporate Finance. From 1997 to 2004, he was a partner and head of the Mining Team at the public relations business College Hill.

Currently, he is Chairman of the AIM listed mining company Ariana Resources plc, and Deputy Chairman of the UK Association of Mining Analysts.  He also acts as a consultant to Lothbury Financial Services, a public relations consultancy.

 

Michael Padley

 

He is a London based businessman with interests in financial PR, marketing, corporate consultancy and natural resource businesses.  A Business Studies graduate, he was an Extel ranked analyst working for various international stockbrokers, namely ANZ, Swiss Bank and Société Générale. Following which he entered Financial PR working for major UK firms advising smaller companies, before forming his own business where he still advisers a number of clients. 

He is currently a director of several companies.
